BeagleInstall

Installed the beagle package from breezy repo.

http://www.beaglewiki.org/index.php/UbuntuInstall has some info. I did

apt-get install libmono-dev libgconf-cil libgecko-cil libglade-cil \
libgnome-cil libgsf-cil libgtk-cil libevolution-cil libgnomevfs2-dev \
libgnome2.0-cil libgnomeui-dev libsqlite0-dev beagle

libgmime-cil mentioned on above URL does not seem to be in the repo.

http://beaglewiki.org/Enabling_Extended_Attributes

Add user_xattr to /etc/fstab as described above

Also, it seems inotify is in the Ubuntu breezy kernel, so no worries there.

Did

export BEAGLE_EXERCISE_THE_DOG=1
beagled

The exetcise bit gets it to use 100% cpu to index, usefull in the beginning I reckon.

http://beaglewiki.org/Indexing_Data has some info that may be useful later when monitoring the progress of beagle.

Run best, dis die beste ;)

OK, dit was moerse maklik om teepotmanne
